Erik P. Johnson

Erik P. Johnson, age 52 years, of Kewaskum was called home to be with the Lord on February 3, 2021 at the Aurora Medical Center in Grafton.

Erik was born on July 19, 1968 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to Ronald Johnson and Karin Johnson (now Lincoln) (nee Rousse).  He was united in marriage to Susan Weber at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Laona.

Erik graduated from Laona High School in 1986.  He continued his education at UW-Milwaukee and earned his bachelor degree.  Erik was a man of many trades and was very mechanical.  He could fix anything!  Erik worked on his family farm, in trucking and transportation, and as Finance Manager at Gordie Boucher in West Bend.

Erik was a motorcycle enthusiast, enjoyed traveling, and would help anyone who would ask him.

His strong faith led him to teaching Sunday School for many years at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in West Bend, and where he also started the Men’s Bible Study Group.  Erik was also on the church dartball team.

Those Erik leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 32 years, Susan; three children, Thomas (fiancée Jessica) Johnson, Sarah (Matthew) Butzke, and Megan Johnson, grandchildren, Skylar, Eason, and granddaughter on the way, Adlee, mother-in-law, Mary Jacobs, and step-father, Alvin Lincoln.

Erik is further survived by two brothers, Karl (Rona) Johnson and Alvin Lincoln, Jr.; sister, Brenda Lincoln; brother-in-law, Michael Jacobs, Jr.; and sisters-in-law, Amy (Steve Leventhal) Jacobs and Michelle (the late David) Tahtinen; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents Ronald and Karin, Erik was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Michael Jacobs, Sr.

Funeral Service for Erik will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (1315 W Washington St.  – West Bend, WI  53095) with Pastor Jonathan Vierkant officiating.  Face coverings and social distancing will be required.

Erik’s family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
