Erma Marie Markus, 78, of Kewaskum, found peace on Thursday, November 17, 2016, at her home surrounded by loving family.
She was born on June 29, 1938, to the late Henry and Irma (nee Olm) Stucki in Marshfield, WI. Erma graduated Neillsville High School in 1956 and attended Columbia School of Nursing to become a registered nurse. She worked at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan for five years. Erma married Ronald J. Markus on January 21, 1961 and together moved to Kewaskum in 1964.
Those Erma leaves behind to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 55 years, Ronald; two sons, Steven (Courtney) Markus of West Bend and John Markus of Cincinnati; two grandchildren, Salena and Mackenzie Markus; two great-grandchildren Olivia and Sofia Markus; a brother, Jack (Judy) Stucki of Colorado, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Erma was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Samantha Markus.
Private family services are being held.
The family would like to thank all the friends that assisted and lifted spirits during her yearlong battle with cancer.
