Ernest M. Kidd, 91, of the town of Wayne, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in the town of Polk.
He was born on October 20, 1920, in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of the late Sanders L. and Mary Frances (Woods) Kidd.
Ernest served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II, and was a member of the Theresa American Legion Post 270 in Theresa.
Those Ernest leaves behind to cherish his memory include his brother, Samuel (Fern) Kidd of the town of Wayne; two daughters, Francine and Sharon Kidd, stepchildren, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services for Ernest were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2012, at the Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira. Rev. Kerry Wilson officiated and burial, with military honor rites performed by members of the Theresa American Legion Post 270, followed in Salem Cemetery in Lomira.
Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of services.
