Erwin A. Scheunemann, age 86, of West Bend, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 24, 2006 at the Cedar Lake Health Care Center.
Erwin was born on August 17, 1919 to the late Alvin and Helena (nee Krueger) Scheunemann in the town of Jackson where he lived all his life.
On September 1, 1945 Erwin was united in marriage to Bernice Schwandner at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. Together they lived and worked in the family homestead farm in the town of Jackson, where Erwin had been born and raised. He retired from farming in 1995.
He was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend.
Erwin leaves behind many loving family members; his wife of 60 years, Bernice; three children, Roger (Deborah) Scheunemann of Fond du Lac, Ruth Ann Scheunemann of West Bend, and Roy (Cynthia) Scheunemann of Union, OH; two grandchildren, Sara Scheunemann of Madison, and Jarrod (Jessica) Scheunemann of Oshkosh; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Elma (George) Haas, and Doris (Don) Jennings; a brother, Wilmer Scheunemann; his father-in-law and mother-in-law William and Emma Schwandner; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Schwandner.
Funeral services in honor of Erwin will be held on Monday, February 27th at 7:00 pm at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend. Rev. Robert Hoehner will officiate. Visitation will be Monday at the church only from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Interment will be Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Brillion.
