Esther E. David, nee Hatzung, 82, of West Bend, passed away Monday, August 2, 2004 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend. She was born on Nov. 6, 1921 in the town of Addison to the late Louis and Anna (nee Krebs) Hatzung. She was united in marriage to Alfred E. David on May 16, 1959 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend. Her husband preceded her in death on July 3, 1988. After her husband death, she moved to Meadowbrook Manor in West Bend. Esther worked as a telephone operator for the Wisconsin Telephone Company for 18 years. She was a member of Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend and was also a member of Aid Association for Lutherans (AAL). She is survived by 3 sisters, Bernice (Leander) Willkomm, Mardell Watzlawick, and Ruth (LeRoy) Muckerheide, all of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Hatzung. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 5 at 6:00 p.m. at Myrhum - Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, West Bend. Rev. David Meyer of Pilgrim Ev. Lutheran Church will officiate and burial will be in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
