Eugene P. Faber, 80, of Kewaskum, was called home to be with the Lord with his two daughters at his side on Friday, April 3, 2015, at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk. He was born on September 13, 1934, in the town of Wayne, the son of the late Wilmer and Nathalia (Sauder) Faber, and on April 24, 1954, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Ernisse at St. Martin's United Church of Christ in Fillmore.
Eugene worked for Gehl Company for 32 years and was a member of the 25 year club. He enjoyed wood working, gardening, bird watching and baking. Eugene was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in the town of Wayne.
Those Eugene leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 60 years, Phyllis; four children, Sharon ( James) Staehler of Kewaskum, Linda (Mark) Hackbarth of Gallatin Gateway, Montana, Jeff (Judy) Faber of Kewaskum and Larry "Mac" Faber of Kewaskum; nine grandchildren, Brad (Nicole) Staehler of Brookfield, Amy (Carl) Staal of Milwaukee, Katie (Rich) Lambe of Milwaukee, Travis (Heather) Hackbarth of Bozeman, Montana, Lindsey (Luke) Pease of Gallatin Gateway, Montana, Brandon (Christina) Faber, Ashley (special friend John Palese) Faber and Emily Faber all of Kewaskum and Alesia (David) Gugg of West Bend; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Wayne (Gloria) Faber of Lomira; a sister, Mildred (Harvey) Klein of Wayne; two sisters-in-law, Marion Wojtalewicz of Kewaskum and Darlene (special friend Norbert Thiesen) Ernisse of Kohlsville; two brothers-in-law, Donald (Shirley) Ernisse of Campbellsport and Lloyd (Janet) Fellenz of Eden; friends, Kerry (Steven) Forster of Fillmore and Cassa Faber of Grafton; special pets, Molly, Gizmo and Jake, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary (Ralph) Giese; three brothers-in-law, Sam Ernisse, Elroy (Dolores) Ernisse and Ben Wojtalewicz; a sister-in-law Betty Ann Fellenz and his parents-in-law Melvin and Florence Ernisse.
Funeral Services for Eugene will be held at noon on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Salem United Church of Christ in the town of Wayne. Pastor Ruth Hansen will officiate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The Faber family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
The family extends their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Kathy Hospice, Kim at Horizon Hospice Care, the staff at Community Care, Kewaskum Fire Department, Kewaskum First Responders, Pastors Joycee and Ruth, the Coulter Family, and their many loving neighbors and friends for their care of Eugene.
