Eugene R. Klink, 89, of the town of Lomira, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac with his family at his side.
Eugene was born on the farm on October 1, 1932, in the town of Lomira, the son of the late Eugene and Leona (nee Borgman) Klink. On November 9, 1955, he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Thelen at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lomira. Mary Ann preceded Eugene in death on January 19, 2003. In his younger years, Eugene sang with the Milwaukee Symphony for several years. He was a lifelong dairy farmer in the town of Lomira, where he grew up, and was known for his high-grade registered Holsteins. The animals were his passion, they knew and responded to his singing voice. Eugene’s faith and dairy farming were his life.
Those Eugene leaves behind to cherish his memory include two daughters, Geralyn (Lou) Kendall of Versailles, Kentucky and Margo Lipetri of Marion, Indiana; four grandchildren, Clayton Rice, Jacob (Lacey) Rice, Michael (Victoria) Lipetri, and Matthew (Tiffany) Lipetri; three great-granddaughters, Annabelle and Jamie Lipetri and Isla Lipetri; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Eugene was preceded in death by a son-in-law, James Lipetri and a sister, Ruby Gregory.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: A Mass of Christian Burial for Eugene will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 653 Milwaukee Street, in Lomira. Father Nathaniel Miniatt will officiate and burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
