Eunice Eggert

November 21, 1920 — December 17, 2005

Eunice Eggert, nee Miller, 85, of West Bend, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton.

She was born on November 21, 1920 in Slinger to the late Oscar and Alma (nee Hetzel) Miller. She was united in marriage to Ralph Eggert on May 5, 1945 at Immanuel United Church of Christ in West Bend. Her husband preceded her in death on February 7, 2004.

Eunice worked as a secretary at Weasler Engineering and the Gehl Company for many years. Her greatest enjoyment came from her family. She also enjoyed participating in many community activities. She was a member of the West Bend Women's Club for many years and was an active member of Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum. She played Bridge with numerous Bridge groups and was known as a very sharp card player. She also enjoyed playing Sheepshead with her family.

She is survived by two sons, Dr. Alan (Sara) Eggert of Greer, SC, and Dr. David (Kay) Eggert of Appleton; seven grandchildren, Chris (Diane) Eggert, Scott Eggert, Lacey Eggert, Charlie Eggert, Emily Eggert, Peter Eggert and Elizabeth Eggert; three great-grandchildren, Kailey, Michael, and Allyson; a niece, Barbara (John) Mueller of Milwaukee; a nephew, James (Kathy) Eggert of Idaho Falls, ID; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Eggert, and 2 sisters, Jane (LeRoy) Zipperer and Hazel (Martin) Parlow.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 21 at 12:30 p.m. at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum with Rev. William Wiederanders officiating. Burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend. Visitation will be at the church on Wed. from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
