Eunice Mary Klein (nee Sherman), 91, of West Bend passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born on August 2, 1926 to the late John and Cordelia (nee Schliesmann) Sherman in Allenton, Wisconsin. As a child, she attended Sacred Heart Elementary in Allenton. She then worked at Amity Leather Products in West Bend for several years. On May 1, 1948, she was united in marriage to Matthew John Klein at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Allenton. She also worked as a custodian for the West Bend School District for many years. She loved to sing and was a member of the choir at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Barton. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her beloved pet dachshunds.
Those Eunice leaves behind to cherish her memories include four children, James of West Bend, George (Lynne) of Woodstock, GA, William (Pamela) of Appomattox, VA, and Margaret (Paul) Wagner of West Bend; three grandchildren, Trisha (Tim) Klein Obert, Tori (Dan) Thon , and Livia (Mark) , all of Atlanta, GA; three great-grandchildren, Harrison, Elliot and Eleanora; three sisters-in-law, Margaret Willkom of Rice Lake, WI, Radine Sherman of Plainfield, WI, and Joann Sherman of Punta Gorda, FL; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Matthew; her eldest daughter, Mary; two brothers, George and Leon; three sisters, Geraldine (Robert) Karnitz, Louise (Richard) Precourt, and Margaret (Merrill) Kietzer; and one brother-in-law, William Willkom.
A funeral service in remembrance of Eunice will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 1025 S. 7th Ave. West Bend.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
Memorials to St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eunice’s name are appreciated by the family.
