Eunice M. Klumb, (nee Bauer), age 103, of West Bend, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at Cedar Lake Health & Rehabilitation.
She was born on March 7, 1904, in Richfield to the late William and Kathryn (nee Reichert) Bauer, and attended Friess Lake Grade School. On August 28, 1924 Eunice was united in marriage to Harvey Klumb at the former Emmanuel E&R Church in Richfield. Together they farmed in the Town of Germantown until retiring in 1964. During their years on the farm they attended Our Savior's United Church of Christ. In 1964 they retired to Pembine. After Harvey's death in 1980, Eunice made her home in West Bend and attended New Hope United Church of Christ in Jackson.
Eunice was a former member of West Bend Eastern Star Chapter # 73. She enjoyed Crocheting, knitting, crossword puzzles, and reading. Most of all she enjoyed communicating with others, whether in person or by mail.
She is survived by three children, May Naab of West Bend, Donald Klumb of Pembine, and Kenneth (Sharon) Klumb of Germantown; nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kathleen Naab; a great-grandson, Parker Klumb; a daughter-in-law, Jackie Klumb; and a son-in-law, Henry Naab.
Funeral services to celebrate Eunice's life will be held on Saturday, February 9th at 2:00 pm at Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Rev. James Hill of New Hope U.C.C., Jackson, will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 (noon) until the time of service. Burial will be in Washington County Memorial Park on Monday February 11th at 11:00 am. Memorials to the Salvation Army or New Hope Church are appreciated.
