Evangeline "Vanji/Vange" Kurr-Goss, 81, entered Eternal Life on Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Cedar Community Home Health and Hospice.
She was born on June 28, 1933 to the late Valentine and Mildred Kurr in Caledonia MI. where she spent her childhood. On April 12, 1952 she married John F. Goss in California.
In addition to being a mother of nine children, Vanji/Vange was heavily involved in her church, including being a Religious Education Teacher for many years. Vanji/Vange also did a lot of volunteer work and was a Girl Scout Leader. Vanji/Vange, along with her husband John were owners and operators, of Lasata Resort in St. Germain WI from (1977-1986). Vanji/Vange, along with her husband John, also enjoyed going for walks, picnics, and traveling. {Psalm 23: With sure and gentle love, God is our Shepherd. God will lead us home}
She is survived by her loving husband, John F. Goss; nine children, Stephanie A. Hunter, John C.(Pam) Goss, David F. (Sue) Goss, Greg S. (Dawn) Goss, Kevin M. (Dottie) Goss, Christopher M. Goss, Mary A. Berefsky, Liz A. (Al) Hoelker, and Camille A. (Christopher) Stamas; eighteen grandchildren, Jennifer Hunter, Brian Hunter, Emily Hunter, Charity (Scott) Herron, Matt (Sarah) Goss, Eric (Jennifer) Goss, Dan (Adrian) Goss, Jeremy (Angella) Goss, Ryan (Malisa) Goss, Courtney Goss, Bridget (Jeremy) Shrader, Meghan Goss, Kelly (Bruce) Sewer, Jackie Berefsky, Frank Berefsky, Michelle Hoelker, Jason Hoelker, and Melissa (Pete) Thorpe; Seventeen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bonny (Bob) Armentrout and Janice (Bill) Mora; brother, Robert (Joyce) Kurr; sister in law, Kathleen Goss; many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son in law, Richard Hunter.
A Funeral service in remembrance of Evangeline will be held on Friday, August 22 at 6:00 pm at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until the time of service.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
