Evelyn D. Rauch, 91, of Kewaskum, formerly of Fond du Lac, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2012, at Kettle Moraine Gardens in Kewaskum with her family at her side.
She was born on November 25, 1920, in Kewaskum, the daughter of the late Edwin and Hortense (Gotchey) Krautkramer. She was a 1938 graduate of Kewaskum High School and graduated in 1942 from the St. Agnes School of Nursing in Fond du Lac. On May 29, 1943, she was united in marriage to Calvin Rauch at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum. Calvin preceded Evelyn in death on May 25, 2004.
Evelyn was employed as a registered nurse. Evelyn and Calvin farmed in the town of Ashford for 51 years. After retiring from farming, the couple moved to Phelps where they made their home for 30 years until moving back to the Fond du Lac area. Evelyn was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum.
Evelyn will fondly be remembered for her love of gardening and cooking.
Those Evelyn leaves behind to cherish her memory include four children, Kathleen Franke of Fond du Lac and her children, Kevin Franke and Amy (Clint) Williams and their children, Wyatt and baby Williams; Curtis (Catherine) Rauch of Le Roy and their children, Peggy (Michael) Schultz and their children, Brandon, Amanda and Nathaniel and Tony Rauch (special friend, Dana) and her children, Dakota, Hanna, Austin and Bailey, Thomas Rauch and his children, Xavier and Avery; Joanne (Ronald) Amerling of Kewaskum and their children, Pam (Brian) Linden and their children, Jake and Kayla Hansen, Luke and Daelynn Linden and Ryan (Sarah) Amerling and their children, Sam and Anna; Calvin (Sharon) Rauch of Campbellsport and their son, Bret, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Franke; two brothers, John Krautkramer and Ralph (Colleen) Kramer and two sisters, Eleanore (Armond) Lange and Jeanette (George) Reberdy.
Funeral services for Evelyn were held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2012, at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum. Rev. Eric Kirkegaard officiated and burial was at 10:00 a.m. on Monday in Ledgeview Memorial Park in Fond du Lac.
Relatives and friends called at the church on Saturday from noon until the time of services.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum was entrusted with Evelyn’s arrangements.
