Evelynne R. Russell

Evelynne Russell, nee Rauen, age 93, of West Bend, passed away on Thursday April 25, 2013 at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on December 6, 1919 in West Bend to the late Benjamin and Clara (nee Warnardt) Rauen. On January 12, 1946 Evelynne was united in marriage to William T. Russell. William preceded her in death on July 21, 2010.

She attended public schools in West Bend and then beauty school in Milwaukee. Evelynne worked as a beautician for 49 years and owned Evelynne's Vanity Manor for over 25 years.

She was a lifetime member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church as well as a member of their Alter Guild, Folk Choir, and Ladies Aid. Evelynne was also a charter member of the Lioness Lion's and a past president of the Lioness Club from 1981-1982 in addition to a recipient of the Birch-Sturm Fellowship Award. Evelynne was a volunteer at the food pantry. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, antiques, traveling, and mostly, spending time with her family.

She is survived by her three children, William B. (Joan) Russell of Kewaskum, Kristin (Mary Ross) Russell of Janesville, and Michael (Lynn) Russell of Loveland, CO; five grandchildren, Brian (Karen) Russell, Renee (Nate) Wagner, Matthew (Amanda) Russell, David (Rosalinda Baca) Russell, and Amie (Simon Hoepfner) Russell; 10 great-grandchildren, Hayden Russell, Ella Russell, Liam Russell, Kaleb Wagner, Sydney Wagner, Bohdi Hoepfner, Lilly Hoepfner, Kyla Russell, Noah Russell, and Naiyah Russell; a brother, Bob (Betty) Rauen of West Bend; other relatives and friends.

A Memorial service in remembrance of Evelynne will be held on Tuesday, April 30th at 6:00 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington Street, West Bend. Rev. David Kellerman of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday at the funeral home from 4:00 pm until the time of the service.
