Faith Wilanna (Luedtke) Beck

Faith Wilanna Beck (Luedtke), age 91, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2024, at Adelaide Place, Fond du Lac, WI. Faith was born on October 2, 1932 to Louis and Mary (Ablard) Luedtke in rural Campbellsport on the farm her parents built. She was baptized at Ebenezer Church, and confirmed at Salem Evangelical Church. Faith graduated from Lomira High School in 1950. After high school, she worked in the office at Blue Band Feed Mill, Lomira, where she met her husband Louis, a customer. She often said that he was a "cocky kid from Illinois". However, he won her heart and grew on her as they were married on September 19, 1953, at Ebenezer Church in rural Lomira. Sadly, they were only able to celebrate 27 years of marriage, due to his heart attack at age 46.

Faith and Louis had two children: Julie (Randy) Faber, and Kevin (Penny) Beck.

They continued to farm and raise their children on her family homestead, where she was a hard worker and enjoyed driving tractor, doing field work and chores. Her skills in the kitchen were equally phenomenal. Faith was very active in the Trinity Methodist Church, Lomira, as she enjoyed singing in the choir, ladies and adult fellowship groups, and volunteered with Louis as youth leaders. Faith and Louis were very active in the Fond du Lac County Farm Bureau and American Milk Producers Incorporated. Through these organizations, they attended many conventions throughout the country, including Hawaii. They enjoyed snowmobiling and vacationing when time allowed. Many trips were made to Carmi, Illinois to visit Louis's relatives. Faith was an active member of the Fond du Lac County Homemakers and also really enjoyed her Water Aerobics classes at the Fond du Lac Aquatic Center. How she loved the exercise, friendships, and lunch parties!

Faith's grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her "treasures". They fondly remember her as "always being there for them", and attending their activities/events.

Faith is survived by two children: Julie (Randy) Faber of Fond du Lac, and Kevin (Penny) Beck of Campbellsport.

She is also survived by five grandchildren: Tim (Jill) Faber, Michelle (Jason) Kuehl, Jessica (Josh) Marschie, Cassie Beck (Jared), and Dell (Crystal) Beck; and surviving great-grandchildren: Aubrey and Chance Faber, Justin, Madeline, and Clayton Marschie, Will Beck, and Tori Beck.

Faith was preceded in death by her husband, Louis (1980); her parents; and brother, Ray Luedtke.

Faith will always be remembered by her family and friends for her good work ethic and exceptional culinary skills. She always said, "If you turn on the oven to make a pie, we're gonna make 3."

The family kindly welcomes friends and relatives on Saturday, June 22, 2024, to a visitation at Trinity Methodist Church, 300 Church St., Lomira, WI, from 9:00 a.m., until 11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service officiated by Rev. Mulongo Mpoyo. Christian burial will take place at Salem Cemetery, Lomira, following the service. Lunch will be served at the church.
