Florence Barbara Bonlender, 99, of Kewaskum, formerly of St. Kilian, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at Kettle Moraine Gardens in Kewaskum.
She was born on September 9, 1913, in the town of Wayne, the daughter of the late Peter and Susan (Kraemer) Hurth, and on September 10, 1935, she was united in marriage to Reynold Bonlender at St. Kilian Catholic Church in St. Kilian. Reynold preceded Florence in death on December 6, 1993.
Florence was a member of St. Kilian Catholic Church in St. Kilian. She was a cook at Fireside Restaurant, a homemaker and enjoyed gardening.
Those Florence leaves behind to cherish her memory include her daughter, Donna Mae (Mark) Laubenstein of Saukville; five grandchildren, Rhonda (Michael) Hare, Lora (Eric) Radke, Jessica (Corey) Jacak, M. Aaron Laubenstein and Luke Laubenstein; seven great-grandchildren, Julia, Jenna, and Josie Hare, Madeleine and Sydney Radke, Daphne and Dustin Jacak; a sister, Cordell Kern of Kewaskum, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Florence was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary (John) Dietenberger, Marcella (Joseph) Batzler and Dolores (Reinhold) Boegel; a brother-in-law, Ralph Kern; a nephew, Gerald Batzler and an infant brother.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Florence was held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013, at St. Kilian Catholic Church in St. Kilian. Father Neil Zinthefer officiated and burial followed in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends called at the church on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
The Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum was entrusted with Florence’s arrangements.
