Florence R. Lange, (nee Scharmer), age 84, of West Bend, passed away Saturday November 28, 2009 at The Kathy Hospice, West Bend.
She was born on June 30, 1925 in Milwaukee to the late George and Elizabeth (nee Asen) Scharmer, and was united in marriage to Horst "Dusty" Lange on February 20, 1948 in Milwaukee. After their marriage they made their home in West Bend.
Florence was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend. She enjoyed gambling, bingo, and especially spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Horst; three children, Russell (Jean) Lange of West Bend, Mary (Mark) Kirchner of Batavia, and Kim (Dan) Dewey of West Bend; ten grandchildren, Chad (Dawn) Hron, Brad (Velvet) Lange, Shelly (Dean) Urmanski, Tricia (Art) Buechler, Krista (Jason) Staral, Ashley Kirchner, Zachary Kirchner, Mikayla Kirchner, Tim Dewey, and Ava Dewey; eleven great-grandchildren, Cordell, Brianna, Landon, Delaney, Hunter, Hailey, Calla, Brooke, Addison, Max, and Jack; a brother, Norman (Elizabeth) Scharmer of Plymouth; a son-in-law, Larry Nehrbass of West Bend, a niece, Lolly (Gary) Geiger of Plymouth; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two children, Patricia Lemke, and Deborah Nehrbass; a brother George and his wife Martha Scharmer Jr.; and a sister-in-law, Ann Lange.
Private family services were held with Rev. David Schoob officiating, and entombment took place in Washington County Memorial Park.
I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one. I'd like to leave an after glow of smiles when life is done. I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days. I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
