Frances D. Kissinger

Frances D. Kissinger, nee Pieper, 91, of West Bend, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at St. Joseph's Hospital, West Bend.

She was born on January 26, 1923 in New Holstein to the late Franklin and Wilhelmina (nee Roeh) Pieper. Fran lived in California from 1952 to 1956 and worked at an aircraft company. After returning to West Bend, she worked at the West Bend Company for 29 years, retiring in 1986. Fran was united in marriage to Eldon "Al" Kissinger on September 10, 1960 at Fifth Ave. United Methodist Church in West Bend. Al passed away November 26, 2003.

Fran was an avid sports fan and she enjoyed bowling in a league for many years. She also spent many hours craft painting and doing number puzzles. Every morning, she enjoyed having coffee at McDonald's and visiting with the coffee "gang."

She is survived by her son, Steven Kissinger of Thousand Oaks, CA; a sister-in-law, Audrey Moser of West Bend; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Irene (Sonny) Albright; five brothers, Benjamin "Scotty" Pieper, Eldon "Shorty" (Althea) Pieper, Harvey (Lucille) Pieper, Howard Pieper, and Frank (Marie) Pieper; and a brother-in-law, Clifford (Olive) Kissinger.

A funeral service in remembrance of Fran will be held on Saturday, March 1 at 1:00 p.m. at Fifth Ave. United Methodist Church, 323 S. 5th Ave., West Bend. Rev. Jeremy Deaner will officiate and burial will follow at Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
