Francis "Pete" Buckley, 70, of Oxford, formerly of West Bend, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at his residence.
He was born on August 20, 1937 in Norway, Michigan to the late Francis and Susie (nee Goodchild) Buckley. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Lemcke on December 22, 1956 in Flushing, Michigan.
Pete worked at the Roundy's Foods warehouse for many years. He and Mary Ann also owned and operated the Chef's Corner Restaurant in Tomahawk for six years.
He enjoyed fishing with his sons and bowling. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; five children, Lyle (Ellyn) Buckley of Montello, Alan (Jackie) Buckley of West Bend, Diane (Dean) Calliari of Kewaskum, Cheryl (Daniel) Rudolf of West Bend, and Jeff Buckley of West Bend; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Grace (Art) Davey of Arizona, and Susie Verdien of West Bend; and six brothers, Rudy Buckley of Texas, Roger (Virgie) Buckley of Florida, James Buckley of Texas, Larry Buckley of Texas, Gary (Paula) Buckley of Michigan, and Mike (Diane) Buckley of St. Louis, Missouri. He is also survived by his lifetime friend, Francis Dawson of Escanaba, Michigan, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dallas Buckley and Patrick Buckley.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 18 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church, 608 S. 6th Ave., West Bend. Rev. Brian Rhode of St. John's Lutheran Church, Oxford, will officiate and burial will follow in Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services.
