Francis O. "Butch" Dieringer, age 79, of St. Lawrence, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Wednesday May 29, 2013.
He was born on May 17, 1934 in the Town of Auburn in Fond du Lac County to the late Thomas and Olive Gremminger Dieringer. Butch grew up helping on the family farm. He served honorably in the U.S. Army, and later farmed with his brother Tom for awhile before becoming an owner-operator over the road truck driver, which he did for many years. After his retirement he worked as a truck driver for several companies, and was currently helping out at Time Trucking in Hartford.
On December 2, 1962 Butch was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Giessen at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Together they lived in the Belgium area for several years before making their home in St. Lawrence.
He enjoyed working on old cars, and was a member of the Kettle Moraine Model T Ford & Vintage Car Club.
Butch is survived by his wife, Patricia; two children, Darrell Dieringer and Danielle Dieringer, both of Madison; two sisters, Phyllis Stemper of Fredonia, and Betty Grant of Cartersville, GA; three brothers, Andrew (Audrey) Dieringer of Port Washington, Thomas (Barbara) Dieringer of Belgium, and James (Laneille) Dieringer of Fredonia; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Lucille (Don) Odekirk, and Olive Dieringer; two brothers, Adolph (Jean) Dieringer, and Gregor Dieringer; two brothers-in-law, Edward Stemper, and Peter Grant.
Funeral services in remembrance of Butch will be held on Monday June 3rd at 4:00 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home (1315 W. Washington St.) West Bend. Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home from 2:00 pm until the time of service.
