Francis G. Gilboy

Francis G. Gilboy, 88, of Kewaskum, found eternal peace on Tuesday, October 2, 2007.


He was born on December 12, 1918, in the town of Osceola, Dundee, the son of the late George and Olive (Leisses) Gilboy, and on September 27, 1952, he was united in marriage to Jeane Trapp. The couple had made their home in Kewaskum since 1954.


Francis was employed by Regal Ware, Inc. in Kewaskum for over 33 years and was a member of the 25 Year Club. He was the Financial Secretary/Treasurer of Local 849 for 32 years and was the manager and custodian of the Local 849 Labor Center for 35 years.


Francis was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum, the Knights of Columbus Father Casper Rehrl Council 1964 West Bend, the Democratic Party of Washington County and the Kewaskum and Campbellsport Senior Centers. He served as treasurer of the Campbellsport Seniors for 22 years.


Francis enjoyed playing cards, listening and watching baseball, football and basketball games, and enjoyed working on woodworking projects and working on projects outside in the yard. Francis was a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks and Wisconsin Badgers.


Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Jeane; a sister-in-law, Bernie Trapp of Kewaskum; a brother-in-law, Paul Becker of Ogden, Utah, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


In addition to his parents, Francis was preceded in death by a sister, Ramona and a brother, Lawrence (Marge) Gilboy.


Funeral services for Francis were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2007, at the Miller Funeral Home in Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath officiated and burial followed in Holy Trinity Catholic Church Cemetery in Kewaskum.


Relatives and friends called on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
