Francis "Fritz" Zemski

Francis “Fritz” Zemski, age 90 years, of Hales Corners, formerly of Theresa and Brown Deer was called home to be with the Lord on October 27, 2023 at Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee.

Fritz was born on October 2, 1933 in Athens, WI to Frank and Sophie Zemski  (Prodzinski).  He was united in marriage to Marie LeMay on May 14, 1955 in Milwaukee.

Fritz proudly served in the United States Army.  He worked at Globe Union (now Johnson Controls) for 44 years.  Fritz enjoyed square dancing, hunting, fishing, camping and wood carving.

Those Fritz leaves behind to cherish his memory include his nine children, Suzanne (Patrick) Forrestal, Sandra (Anthony) Campanelli, James (Charlotte) Zemski, Patricia (Michael) Oberkirsch, Debra (Brad) Gratton, Daniel (Carey) Zemski, Vickie Randall, Scott (Debbie) Zemski and Steve (Judy) Zemski; two siblings, Fred (Mary Ann) Zemski and Cecile “Chee-Chee” Zemski; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Fritz was preceded in death by his wife, Marie; and two siblings, Al Zemski and Theresa Campion.

VISITATION:  Fritz’s family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (699 Milwaukee St. – Lomira, WI  53048).

SERVICE:  A Mass of Christian Burial in remembrance of Fritz will take place at St. Mary’s on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Father Nathaniel Miniatt officiating.  Burial will be at the church cemetery following Mass.

Memorials in Fritz’s name can be directed to the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee or any Veteran’s Organization of your choice.
