Frieda Techtmann

January 29, 1903 — August 31, 2005

Frieda Techtmann, nee Hagner, age 102, of West Bend, died Wed. Aug. 31, 2005 at the Samaritan Health Center, West Bend.

She was born Jan. 29, 1903 in the town of Farmington to the late Charles and Katherine (nee Petrie) Hagner. She married Richard Techtmann, Sr. on Sept. 2, 1931 at St. Martin's Church in Fillmore. Her husband preceded her in death on May 31, 1976.

Frieda was a long time member of Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church, West Bend. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed playing cards, crocheting and gardening.

She is survived by six children, Paul (Janet) Techtmann of West Bend, Florence (Lewis) Enderle of West Bend, Arlene (Carl) Koepke of Kewaskum, Verna (Robert) Kudek of West Bend, Richard (Diane) Techtmann, Jr. of West Bend, and Mae (Francis "Sonny") Mehringer of Sussex; 16 grandchildren, Karen (Doug) Wilson, Mark (Sue) Enderle, Curt Enderle, Jim (Jill) Koepke, Sue (Brendan) Keese, Sandy (Jon) Buchholz, Jean (Gary) Soyk, Kathy (Mark) Eiting, Donald (Kristin) Kudek, Sharon (Dave) Roskopf, Gerald (Lisa) Kudek, Janelle Techtmann, Janine Techtmann, Jared Techtmann, Pam (Scott) Anderson, and Todd Mehringer; 23 great-grandchildren, Jamie Wilson, Kelly Wilson, Andrew Enderle, John Koepke, Jeffrey Koepke, Maura Keese, Erin Keese, Matthew Keese, Katrina Buchholz, Carl Buchholz, Ruth Buchholz, Mark Buchholz, Amber Soyk, Trevor Soyk, Krystle Eiting, Chad Eiting, Matthew Kudek, Stephanie Kudek, Ryan Kudek, Rachel Roskopf, Emily Kudek, Elizabeth Kudek, and Alexis Kudek; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Alex Kudek; 5 brothers, Charles, Richard, Otto, Herbert and Oscar Hagner, a sister, Viola Falk, and their spouses.

Funeral services will be held on Sat. Sept. 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church, Decorah Rd. & Indiana Ave., West Bend. Rev. John Paustian will officiate and burial will follow in Union Cemetery, West Bend. Visitation will be at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Sat. from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.

Memorials to Good Shepherd Ev. Lutheran Church, Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School, Lutheran Home Assoc.- Jesus Cares, or the charity of the donor's choice are appreciated.
