Gary James Schellhaas, age 65, of Jackson, Wisconsin, was born to eternal life on December 30, 2012.
Gary was born on May 28, 1947 in Waukesha, Wisconsin the son of Henry and Delores (Paulsen) Schellhaas. Gary was a lifelong member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. He proudly served in the United States Army. Gary worked for the United States Postal Service as a maintenance supervisor in downtown Milwaukee. Following his retirement in 2006 Gary and his wife enjoyed wintering in Fort Myers, Florida. Gary's hobbies included: cooking, computers, movies, bowling, fishing, hunting, camping, target shooting, archery, scuba diving, and joking with his three sons.
Those he leaves to cherish his loving memory are his wife, Cheryl of 40 years; three children, Jason (Diana), Kurt (Sara), and Aaron (Lisa); four grandchildren, Brin, Keira, Landon, and Risa; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, close relatives, and dear friends.
A funeral service in honor of Gary will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at 12:30 pm at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home in West Bend. Pastor Bruce Marggraf will officiate. Visitation will be on Sunday from 10:30 am until the time of service. Burial will be on Monday, January 7, 2013 in Washington County Memorial Park.
