Gene William Kissinger

Gene William Kissinger, age 91 years, of West Bend passed away on May 24, 2024, at Kathy Hospice in West Bend surrounded by his loving family.

Gene was born on May 21, 1933, in Jackson, son of Harry and Lilly Kissinger (Bauer).  He was united in marriage to Ann M. Kingsbury on September 8, 1962, in Menomonee Falls.

Gene graduated from West Bend High School.  He had many occupations during his lifetime, primarily as a dairy farmer.  He was also roofer, driver, and worked at Piggly Wiggly and Dairyland Seed.

Gene enjoyed working on puzzles, latchhook rugs, volunteering, playing bingo, socializing, and meeting new people to tell his old stories to at the Willows.  Most of all, his face and eyes lit up everytime his grandchildren and great-grandchildren came to visit.  He was a friend to all!

Those Gene leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 61 years, Ann; children, Stephen (Linda) Kissinger, Sally (Clint) Washick, Sherry (Brian Westra) Kissinger, Scott (April) Kissinger, and Stuart (Lynda) Kissinger; grandchildren, Adam, Jessica, Jake, Tyler (Abigail), Brent, Aaron, Seth, Rachel, Savannah, Sabastian, and Shane; and great-grandchildren, Laila, Eleanor, Claire, and Leah.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lilly Kissinger.

SERVICE:  A Memorial Service in remembrance of Gene will take place on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. (PRIOR TO THE VISITATION), at Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (1315 W Washington St. – West Bend, WI  53095)

VISITATION:  The visitation will follow the service on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 2:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
