George Jeffery Ward

George Jeffrey Ward, age 44 years, from Carrollton, Missouri passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at his home in Slinger, Wisconsin.

George  was born on September 16, 1978 in Columbia, Missouri to Bill and Shirley (Goolsby) Ward.

George graduated from Carrollton High School in 1996. He went on to attend some college and worked as the Store Manager for an automotive parts store in Carrollton before being paralyzed in 2003. Before and after his accident George coached many youth sports and activities. He enjoyed baseball, football (Go Trojans!), NASCAR, and anything to do with engines and motors.

Those George leaves behind to cherish his memory include his parents, Bill and Shirley Ward; his twin sister, Katie Francis and her husband, Chuck Francis; and his big brother, Chuck Ward and his wife, Cindy Ward. He is further survived by niece, Paige Narron; nephew, Joseph Narron; niece, Peyton Ward; great-nephew, Wyatt Narron; nephew, Ryan Cromely, niece Heather Miller. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

George was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Goolsby; grandmother Emma Ward; grandfather, Wirt Goolsby; grandfather, Damon "Dutch" Ward; and aunt, Ruby Goolsby

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Carrollton, Missouri.

Burial of George’s cremated remains will take place at Pleasant Park Cemetery.
