Gerald W. Gross, age 71, of the Town of Trenton, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at his residence.
He was born on June 15, 1940 in New Holstein to the late Alvin and Dorothy (nee Stenz) Gross. On May 2, 1944, he was united in marriage to Lois Abler in St. Cloud.
Gerald worked as a construction foreman and estimator for H. Froebel and Son in Milwaukee until retiring in 2010.
He was a lifetime member of Newburg Sportsmens Club. Gerald was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time in Florence County.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Gross of the Town of Trenton; three children, Scott (Tracey) Gross of West Bend, Candee (Bill) Brace of West Bend, and Stu (Lori) Gross of West Bend; eight grandchildren, Hunter Gross, Samantha Gross, Baylee Gross, Claire Brace, Morgan Brace, Andrew Brace, Beau Gross, and Isabel Gross; two sisters, Mary (Bill) Schleh of New Holstein and Martha (Jeno) Thuecks of Fond du Lac; one brother, Alvin Gross Jr. of New Holstein; two sisters-in-law, Rose Braun of Fond du Lac and Doris Gross of Kiel; other relatives and friends.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steve Gross; and daughter, Stacey Gross.
A memorial service in remembrance of Gerald will be held on Saturday June 9th at 1:00 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St. West Bend. Pastor Kevin Barrett will officiate. Visitation at the funeral home will be Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
