Gerald J. Laufenberg, age 70, of West Bend, passed away Sunday July 31, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital in the Town of Polk.
He was born on April 22, 1941 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Jacob and Margaret (nee White) Laufenberg. On February 25, 1967 Gerald was united in marriage to Dixie Richmond in Waukegan, IL. She preceded him in death on April 8, 2009.
Gerald served in the United States Air Force, and later worked as a logistics manager for the Department of Defense until his retirement.
He is survived by his son-in-law, Tom Stuettgen; five grandchildren, Paul Stuettgen, Nicole Lenart, Kristal Lenart, Cassie Brown, and Brittney Brown; four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Sierra, Keyona, and Nevaeh; a daughter-in-law, Janine Brown; other relatives and friends.
Gerald was preceded in death by his wife Dixie; a daughter, Kim Stuettgen; and a son, Steve Brown.
It was Gerald's request that only private family services be held to honor his memory.
