Geraldine A. “Gerri” Brace, 80, of West Bend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.
She was born on April 5, 1929, in West Allis, the daughter of the late John and Frances (Catalano) Accetta. Geraldine was preceded in death by her husbands, Elmo Prusik and Wilbur Brace.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum.
Those Geraldine leaves behind to cherish her memories include three daughters, Kathleen (Tim) Connors of Skandia, Michigan, Jean (David) Garbisch of Random Lake and Nancy (Steve) Ramsey of Hendersonville, Tennessee; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Prusik of Allenton; nine grandchildren, Tim (Jennifer) Connors, Jennifer (Glenn) Connors-Merrill, Dana, Eric and Kayla Garbisch, Aidan and Helen Ramsey, Brian and Josh Paul; a brother, Marvin (Kathleen) Accetta of Hales Corners; a sister-in-law, Ruth Accetta of Milwaukee; three great-grandchildren, Claudia, Matthew and Calissa Connors, stepchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and special friends.
In addition to her husbands and parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by a son, Alan Joseph Prusik and a brother, Frank Accetta.
A Memorial Mass for Geraldine was held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2009, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main Street in Kewaskum with Father Edwin Kornath officiating. Cremation took place and burial of her cremains followed the Mass in the parish cemetery.
The family received visitors at the church on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of Mass.
