Gertrude A. Horsch, (nee Molle), age 92, of Jackson, formerly of West Bend, passed away on Saturday January 17, 2011 at Cedar Community in West Bend.
She was born on December 7, 1918 in Sun Prairie to the late Richard and Anna (nee Schmidt) Molle. At an early age she moved to Milwaukee with her family. On August 17, 1940, she was united in marriage to Orvel Horsch at North Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. Gertrude worked at Florist Avenue Green Houses and later as a clerk for Wilbers Bakery in Milwaukee. In 1972, she and Orvel moved to Big Cedar Lake. He preceded her in death on October 4, 1988. In 2002, Gertrude moved to Jackson. She was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a current member of St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Slinger. She was also a member of the Red Hat Club and enjoyed baseball.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Horsch of Jackson; niece, Arlene (Carl) DeGeorge of Menomonee Falls, Nephew, Raymond (Marjorie) Reinhardt of Mattoon; Diana (Lee) Reed of Slinger; great nieces and nephews, Nick (Cheryl) DeGeorge, Pam (Matt) Riesen, Kathy DeGeorge, Jenine (Tim) Maas, Paul (Dawn) DeGeorge; other relatives and friends.
Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Orvel; and sister, Margaret Reinhardt.
Funeral services in remembrance of Gertrude will be held on Saturday, January 22nd at 12:00 pm at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, 799 St. Paul Drive, Slinger. Pastor David Hein will officiate. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
Memorials to the Washington County Humane Society are appreciated by the family.
