Gertrude E. Schultz (nee Albrecht), age 95, of West Bend, passed away Sunday October 30, 2005 at the Samaritan Health Center.
She was born on May 3, 1910 in Brodhead to the late Frank and Hattie (nee Jench) Albrecht. At a young age she moved with her family to Milwaukee. There she met and married Henry F. Schultz on October 7, 1932. They lived in Beechwood and later in New Fane until Henry's death in 1974. In 1979 Gertrude moved to Meadowbrook Manor in West Bend and resided there for 25 years until entering the Samaritan Health Center.
Gertrude was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum and Martha's Circle. She enjoyed reading and playing cards.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Joyce Schultz of Kewaskum; two grandchildren, Todd (Kathy) Schultz of Whitefish Bay, and Peggy Ann Ferber of Las Vegas, NV; also a special friend, Kathy Runquist and her family of West Bend; along with nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara Albrecht and Cora Onarheim; two half sisters, Louise Kent and Marie Wiskirchen; a brother and his wife, Rudy and May Albrecht.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd at 10:30 a.m. at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home in West Bend. Chaplain Cheryl Matusiak of Heartland Hospice will officiate and burial will follow in Peace Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
Memorials in Gertrude's name would be greatly appreciated by the family.
