Glenda L. Skalecki (nee Gulley), age 51, of Oconomowoc, was granted eternal rest and called home to be with our Lord and Savior, on Sunday, September 8, 2013 following an automobile accident. Glenda's mother Karen was also involved in the accident and joined Glenda in Heaven.
Glenda was born on October 10, 1961 to Robert and Karen (nee Thomas) Gulley in Milwaukee. Following her graduation from Germantown high school in 1980, Glenda began a 30 year career caring for people as a CNA. She had a passion for jewelry and as an artist she was great at painting nails and loved drawing. Glenda was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She loved her cat Mittens and will be remembered by many people as being an amazing friend.
Glenda is survived by her five daughters, Nicole (Michael) Gulley-Land of Waukesha, Jamie Lemke of Middleton, Meaghan Gulley of Winder, GA, Courtney Skalecki of Oconomowoc, and Samantha Skalecki of Oconomowoc; five grandchildren with one on the way; her father, Bob Gulley of West Bend; her grandmother, Myrna Peters; two sisters, Karla (Barney) Tabat of Cudahy and Shelli (Bruce) Ellis of West Bend; two brothers, Bob Gulley Jr. of Alexandria, VA and Randy Gulley of West Bend; and many other relatives and friends.
A joint memorial service in honor of Glenda and her mother will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 6:00 pm at Community Church (2005 S. Main St. West Bend, WI 53095) with Pastor Doug Jerred officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 3:00 pm until the time of service.
In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Skalecki Donation Fund at Chase Bank would be greatly appreciated by the family.
