Glen W. Rosenau, 85, of Oakfield, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017.
Glen was born on August 7, 1931, in Milwaukee, the son of the late William and Irene (Luedtke) Rosenau. On June 28, 1958, he was united in marriage to JoAnn Liebau at Zebaoth Lutheran Church in Milwaukee. JoAnn preceded Glen in death on November 27, 2000.
Glen was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Brownsville and lived constantly in God’s word and was an inspiration to his family and everyone around him. He enjoyed teaching Sunday School for over 25 years at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Glen operated his own business cleaning carpets for 25 years and lived the dream of being a pig farmer.
Those Glen leaves behind to cherish his memory include four children, Daniel (Rose) Rosenau of Fond du Lac, Dawn (Timothy) Boerneke of Fox Lake, Gwen (Steven) North of Van Dyne and Tracy (Eric) Freiberg of Fond du Lac; 14 grandchildren, Seth, Cozette and Willow Rosenau; Amy (Ben) Stern, Andrea (Jakob) Parnau, Emily (Aaron) Becker, Nathan (Alexis) Boerneke, Amber North (Mike Wagner), Noah and Bailey North, Jacob and Jonathan Freiberg, Hannah (Ben) Zuberbier and Kari Freiberg; two step grandchildren, Sarah and Alex Bowlby; three great grandchildren, Penny and Ollie Stern and Carter Parnau; a brother, Marve (Sharon) Rosenau of Pewaukee; a sister-in-law, Sue Liebau of Milwaukee; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, Glen was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Brian Liebau.
Funeral services for Glen will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2017, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 605 Highland Avenue, in Brownsville. Rev. William Carter will officiate and burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Brownsville.
Glen’s family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Memorials to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Brownsville and Winnebago Lutheran Academy are appreciated.
