Gloriann Malchow-Leatherwood, nee Gerndt, age 52, of West Bend, passed away Monday, February 14, 2011 at her residence.
She was born on October 4, 1958 in Milwaukee to James and Mary (nee Pebly) Gerndt. Gloriann was an all state gymnast during high school, graduating from Menomonee Falls North in the class of 1976. On September 12, 1990, Gloriann was united in marriage to Ronald Leatherwood in New Jersey.
Gloriann enjoyed fishing, camping, walks and nature.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald of West Bend; two children, Rosanna Malchow of Milwaukee and Charlotte Crystal Leatherwood; grandson, Jacob Ladner; father, James (Sharon) Gerndt of Mayville; brother, Mike Gerndt of Mayville; other relatives and friends. Gloriann is also survived by her dog, Mugsy and macaw, Barney.
Gloriann was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Gerndt.
A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 17th at 6:30 p.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, 138 N. 8th Avenue, West Bend, with Rev. Nathan Reesman presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the mass.
