Gordon A. Blanchette

Gordon Albert Blanchette, 85, of West Bend, passed away on October 22,2022, at Ivy Manor in West Bend.

Gordon was born on September 14, 1937, in Cudahy, to the late Frederick and Helen (nee Guenther) Blanchette.  Gordon worked at Mercury Marine for 20 plus years, he also drove Semi for 20 plus years, and loved telling his trucking stories. In recent years he spent many hours with friends at Omicron. While at Ivy Manor, Gordon would spend time playing cards and bingo with other residents.

Those Gordon leaves behind to cherish his memory include his four children, Michael (Tamela) Blanchette, Gordy “Mark” Blanchette, Michelle (Mark) Carter, and Kurt (Lisa) Blanchette; eight grandchildren, Mitchell (Amie), Jake (Devin), Lucas (Courtnie), Gabrielle (Jeff), Sam (Aaron), Katie, Jessica, and Ben (Stefani); and nine great-grandchildren, Lena, Jax, Wyn, Callaway, Jet, Nya, Carter, Jayce, and Lakyn; a brother, Alan Blanchette; a half-sister, Wilma Flickinger; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Gordon is preceded in death by his two brothers, Gerald and Richard Blanchette; and a sister Lois Priest.

VISITATION: Gordon’s family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, November 4, 2022, at Myrhum-Patten Funeral and Cremation Service, 1315 W. Washington Street, West Bend, WI, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: A Memorial Service will be held at Myrhum-Patten Funeral and Cremation Service, on Friday, November 4, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Joe Brath officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
