Graysen R. Pomerich

July 21, 1995 — March 31, 2022

Graysen R. Pomerich, 26, of West Bend passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

He was born on July 21, 1995, to Herbert and Christine (nee Zielinski) in Brookfield, WI.

Graysen was the life of the party, sharing his funny sense of humor, he had the ability to make anyone smile when he entered the room, he was adventurous, he had a tender heart, and wanted to make everyone happy before himself.  His big beautiful brown eyes shined bright when it came to playing with his younger cousins, nieces, and nephew. Oh, how they loved him!

He loved the outdoors and living life with nature – hunting, fishing, dirt biking, mushroom foraging, hiking, and kayaking with family, friends, and his beloved Kourtney. He enjoyed hanging out with friends, whether it be at a cookout, bonfire, or other crazy activities.  When indoors he could be found yelling at his Xbox or PlayStation games or teaching and playing with his nieces and nephew.

Family was very important to Graysen.  He adored his nieces and nephews, giving them rides on his dirt bike and ATV, playing on the swing set, dancing with them at weddings, driving them around in their remote-controlled Range Rover, or just cuddling on the couch.

He was a respectful son, always willing to lend a helping hand; whether it be making dinners cleaning up and doing the dishes, yard work, or anything else needed.

His sisters could rely on him for anything.  They enjoyed his goofy sense of humor, spontaneity, and craziness. He was so fun to be around.

Graysen struggled with addiction for several years. He went through rehab programs and counseling to break free from this demon, he was clean for so long but sadly he lost his battle. His sudden death was terribly shocking. Though addiction took his life, it did not define the good person that he was. He was a loving son, an incredible brother, a fun and silly uncle, a devoted boyfriend, and a fun-loving friend.  He would have been an excellent dad.

Those Graysen leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving parents, Herbert and Christine Pomerich; siblings, Emily (fiancé Kory Stai), Hayley, Amanda, and Colin; nieces and nephews, Gwen, Kynlee, Ayla, Ryleigh and Brooks; the love of his life Kourtney Lydon and their unborn child.  He will also be missed by extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Frances Pomerich and Richard and Maria Zielinski; uncle, Thomas Pomerich; aunts, Susan Schmidt and Cindy Zielinski; nephew, Tyler Davis; and cousin, Chad Bissell.

A funeral service in remembrance of Graysen will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. at Kettlebrook Church, 2378 W. Washington St., West Bend.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:45 p.m.
