Greta V. Stoffel, age 83, of West Bend, found peace Thursday February 20, 2014 at Cedar Lake Health Care Center.
She was born on January 16, 1931 in Hallstavik, Sweden to the late Hugo and Cecilia Osterblom. Greta spent her childhood in Sweden until she moved to the United States at the age of 18. She lived in many different states until settling in Wisconsin. Greta had a long career working in the banking industry her whole life. She will be remembered mostly for her adaptability, strength, and resilience through her many years of battling Arthritis. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Rick (Carole) Stoffel; two grandsons, Adam and Lucas Stoffel; and her former husband, Rolly Stoffel; many nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Thure and Hans Osterblom; one sister, Ann Erdevik (nee Osterblom).
A visitation of remembrance of Greta will be held on Saturday March 8, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehab Center in the Courtyard Lounge. (5595 County Road Z, West Bend). Memorials to the family would be greatly appreciated.
