Hal David Midkiff, 75, of West Bend, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 7, 2016.
Hal was born on July 2, 1941, in West Hamlin, West Virginia, the son of the late Elmer and Elizabeth (Bills) Midkiff. He proudly served his country in U.S. Army in the 101 st Airborne Division. Hal enjoyed his job with Day or Nite Services where he was a driver for the last 12 years. They were like a second family to him. He was a loving father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
Hal is survived by seven children, Greg (Linda), Steve (Carla), Melinda, Kris, Kerrie, Lisa (Wayne) and Laura; 15 grandchildren; three brothers, Harvey (Maryann), Richard (Betty), and Jerry (Karen).
In addition to his parents, Hal was preceded in death by his sisters, Violet, Beatrice, Roma, Sarah and Glenna and two brothers, Hampton and Glen.
A funeral service for Hal will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016, at the Myrhum – Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington Street, in West Bend with Pastor Joe McAlpine officiating.
Hal’s family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.
