Harold R. Halle, 82, of Lomira, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 25, 2013, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
He was born on May 23, 1931, in Fond du Lac, the son of the late Charles and Elsie (Freiberg) Halle, and on November 24, 1954, he was united in marriage to Geraldine Worthing in Crown Point, Indiana.
Harold proudly served his country in the U. S. Marines during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brownsville, the Brownsville Lions Club and the Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post 347 Lomira.
Harold will be remembered as a hard worker and loyal employee. He was employed by Allis Chalmers in Milwaukee for 32 years, Jacobson’s in Brownsville for 15 years and Wisconsin Auto Auction in Lomira for ten years. He enjoyed his last job driving for Wisconsin Auto, knew every road and the location of all the waterfalls in Wisconsin. Harold will be deeply missed by his wife, his family and by all who knew him.
Those Harold leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 59 years, Geraldine; five children, Dennis (Shelly) Halle of Appleton, Cindy (Jose) Rodriguez of Fond du Lac, Mike (Marilyn) Halle of Virginia, Patti (Joel) Dornacker of Richfield and Teri Bintzler (special friend, Ben Hehl) of Taylor; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, other relatives, friends and his favorite dog, Willy.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl (Chris) and Norman Halle and two sisters, Elaine “Pat” (Bob) Middleton and Ruth (Lester) Zitlow.
Funeral services for Harold were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brownsville with Rev. William Carter officiating. Military honors rites by members of the Bintzler-Waehler American Legion Post 34 Lomira followed the service and entombment was in Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Fond du Lac.
The Halle family greeted relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.

The Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira was entrusted with Harold’s arrangements.
