Harold J. Seefeldt, 82, of New Fane, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2009, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on July 9, 1927, in Kewaskum, the son of the late August and Emma (Klumb) Seefeldt, and on June 13, 1953, he was united in marriage to Iris Falk at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade.
Harold served his country in the U. S. Air Force during World War II. He was employed by Regal Ware, Inc. in Kewaskum, retiring in 1990 after 42 years of service and was a member of the 25-Year Club. Harold was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in New Fane and was the cemetery sexton for many years.
Those Harold leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 56 years, Iris; four children, Glenn (Cheryl) Seefeldt of St. Anthony, Minnesota, Ryan (Rita) Seefeldt of Aniwa, Steve (Donna) Seefeldt of Campbellsport and Patrice Seefeldt (special friend, DuWayne Schacht) of Campbellsport; three grandchildren, Adam, Jared and Elizabeth Seefeldt; two brothers, Allen (Lucille) Seefeldt of Ocala, Florida and William (Irene) Seefeldt of Kewaskum; a sister, Eleanor (Leslie) Ostrander of Kewaskum; a sister-in-law, Gladys “Buffy” Seefeldt of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kristin Seefeldt and a brother, Merlin Seefeldt.
A memorial service for Harold was held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 6, 2009, at St. John Lutheran Church, N665 Highway S, Kewaskum (New Fane) with Rev. Mark Eckert officiating.
Burial of his cremains was at 9:00 a.m. on Monday in the church cemetery with military honor rites performed by members of the Robert G. Romaine American Legion Post 384 Kewaskum.
Harold’s family received visitors on Sunday at the church from 5:00 p.m. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Rev. Eckert’s medical expenses would be appreciated.
