Harriet A. Becker (nee Buchholz), age 75 years, of West Bend was called home to be with the Lord on March 20, 2025 at Betty’s Harbor at New Perspective in West Bend.

Harriet was born on February 26, 1950 in Fond du Lac to Henry and Hilda Buchholz (nee Pahnke). She was united in marriage to James “Jim” Becker on August 16, 1991 at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum.

Harriet worked in manufacturing and industrial sewing & embroidery. Her hobbies included a passion for the fiber arts, including quilting, knitting, and crocheting. She leaves a legendary heritage of potholders seeking beneficial use in homes throughout Wisconsin.

Those Harriet leaves behind to cherish her memory include her son, Benjamin “Ben” Giese; granddaughter, Korren Giese; and two sisters. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, Harriet was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Becker; daughter, Jamie Becker; brothers, Herman Buchholz and Harland Buchholz; and sister, Hazel Buchholz.

A Private Graveside Service in remembrance of Harriet will take place at Peace United Church of Christ Cemetery in Kewaskum with Pastor Eric Kirkegaard officiating.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Betty’s Harbor and Brighton Hospice for their care and compassion.
