Harriet C. Jahncke

Harriet C. Jahncke, (nee Deisseroth) age 98, of West Bend, Passed away Monday March 23, 2015 at Cedar Community.

She was born on September 25, 1916 in Milwaukee to the late Frank and Hattie (nee Kurth) Deisseroth, and was united in marriage to Kenneth Jahncke on May 25, 1940 at Faith United Church of Christ in Milwaukee.

Together they made their home in Milwaukee. After Ken retired in 1976 they moved to Cedar Community, Kettle Heights Village, and for the past nine years lived at Cedar Bay East. Ken preceded her in death in 2008.

Harriet was a lifetime member of Faith United Church of Christ in Milwaukee, and an active volunteer for over 35 years at Cedar Community.

Harriet is survived by a brother-in-law, Robert (Lois) Jahncke of Brookfield; niece, Kathy (Gene) Schaeber of Sussex; nephew, Donald (Sue) Jahncke of the Town of Erin; dear friends, Ray and Barbara West of New Berlin; other relatives and friends.

A memorial service in remembrance of Harriet will be held on Wednesday April 8th at 2:30 pm at the Cedar Community Theater (5595 Hwy Z) West Bend. Rev. Kathryn Kuhn will officiate. Visitation will be in the Cedar Theater on Wednesday from 1:30 pm until the time of service.

Memorials to Cedar Community Foundation or Partners in Caring are appreciated.

Cremation took place at Myrhum - Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, and entombment of her cremated remains will be in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield.
