Harry H. Kissinger, age 72, of West Bend and Slinger, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee.
He was born on June 8, 1937 in West Bend to the late Harry Peter and Mary (nee Schleining) Kissinger. Harry attended West Bend High School and graduated in the class of 1955. He went on to attend Lakeland College.
On April 30, 1960, Harry was united in marriage to Florence Justman at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in West Bend. Harry served his country as a member of the Wisconsin National Guard for many years. He worked for Amity Leather Products Company for 35 years in their IT Department as a Data Processor until he retired in 1996.
Harry was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. He enjoyed new and evolving technology, as well as, fishing, bowling, camping, traveling and photography.
He is survived by his wife, Florence; their two children, Scott (Amy) Kissinger of Sheboygan and Sue (Dan) Weber of New Berlin; five grandchildren, Andrew, Evan, and Eric Kissinger, Steve and Mike Weber; two brothers-in law, Harold (Cathy) Justman and Howard (Millie) Justman both of West Bend; other relatives and many friends.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents; and parents-in-law, Russell and Minnie Justman.
A Memorial service in remembrance of Harry will be held on Monday, February 1st at 4:30 pm at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church (809 S. 6th Avenue) West Bend with Rev. Jeff Dorth officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 2:00 pm until the time of the service.
Memorials to St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church or St. Luke's Medical Center's Thoracic Transplant Program are appreciated by the family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the family of Fred Stearns for the gift of life given to Harry as well as the doctors and the staff of the hospital and transplant clinic at St. Luke's Medical Center.
