Harvey Janssen, age 96, of the town of Barton, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2006 at Cedar Lake Health Care Center in the town of West Bend.
He was born on January 28, 1910 in the town of Barton, the son of the late Charles and Emma (Kirchner) Janssen, and on November 7, 1936, he was united in marriage to Marjorie Foerster at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum.
Harvey was employed in the mill as a manager at Farmer’s Inc in Allenton, retiring after ten years of service. He was a member of the West Bend Sportsmen’s Club and St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he served many years on the church board. He also served many years on the Kewaskum School District School Board.
Survivors include his loving wife of 69 years, Marjorie; his daughter, Darlene (Harold “Chesty”) Pesch of Campbellsport, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Harvey was preceded in death by a son, William and a sister, Ruth Borchert.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4930 Beaver Dam Road, West Bend with Rev. Steven Bode and Rev. Paul Reede officiating. Burial followed in Washington County Memorial Park in West Bend.
Relatives and friends called at the church on Wednesday from noon until the time of services.
