Hazel L. Herman, (nee Moritz), age 87, of West Bend, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2006 at the Samaritan Health Center in West Bend.
She was born on September 26, 1918 on the family homestead farm in Kohlsville to the late Paul and Selma (nee Metzner) Moritz, and was united in marriage to Ray Herman on June 29, 1946 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Kohlsville. Together they farmed on the family farm. Ray preceded her in death in 1959. Hazel moved to West Bend and worked at the Amity Company and as a secretary at the Samaritan Health Center.
Hazel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in West Bend and was also the sponsor of her nephew, Roger Moritz.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Gladys Moritz; and her children, Roger (Barbara) Moritz, Sheryl (David) Pajewski, and Marjorie (Allen) Latall; a brother-in-law, Wilmer (Alice) Herman; and his children, David (Sue) Herman, and Jerry (Sue) Herman; other relatives; and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother Warren Moritz.
Private family graveside services will be held on Saturday May 27th at Theresa Union Cemetery. Rev. David Schoob of Trinity Lutheran Church, West Bend, will officiate.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to the nurses and staff of the Samaritan Health Center for the wonderful care they gave to Hazel.
