Hazel A. Hodge, 94, of the town of LeRoy, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2010, at the Christian Home and Rehabilitation Center in Waupun.
She was born on December 23, 1915, in rural Oakfield, the daughter of the late Edwin and Lizzie (Wiese) Messner, and on October 9, 1937, she was united in marriage to William Hodge. Her husband preceded her in death in August 1971.
Hazel was a graduate of Oakfield High School and the Fond du Lac Business College. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, playing cards with others at the Oakfield Senior Center, sewing and knitting.
Those Hazel leaves behind to cherish her memory include her son, David Hodge of the town of LeRoy, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Hazel was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Messner.
Funeral services for Hazel were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at the Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira. Rev. Wick Hubers officiated and burial followed in the Avoca Cemetery in the town of Oakfield.
Relatives and friends called on Tuesday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
