Hazel M. Nehrbass, 83, of the town of Polk, found peace Wednesday August 27, 2014 at The Kathy Hospice.
She was born on July 25, 1931 to the late Henry and Mabel (nee Rogge) Bock. She was united in marriage to George Nehrbass on April 24, 1954 at Fifth Ave. United Methodist Church in West Bend.
She helped her husband work the family farm for many years. She was a member of Fifth Ave United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school. She was members of the PTA and Republican Party. The family took many vacations in northern Wisconsin and Florida over the years. Hazel enjoyed reading and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters, Barb (Mike Miota) Kumrow of Menomonee Falls, and Sue (David) Hauser of Richfield; four grandchildren, Scott Kumrow of Menomonee Falls, Tammy Kumrow of West Allis, Sara Hauser of Plover, and Andrew (FiancAC.e Rachel Sherman) of New York; sister in law, Beatrice Lambrecht of Jackson; a nephew Scott Lambrecht of San Francisco, CA; a niece, Cindy Stone of Jackson; two great-nephews, Jacob Stone and Zachary Stone; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Husband George; a brother in law, Howard Lambrecht.
Funeral service in remembrance of Hazel will be held on Tuesday, September 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Cedar Park Cemetery in the town of Richfield on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.
