Helen M. Felix

Helen M. Felix, age 95, of Kewaskum, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2006 at Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk.

She was born on September 11, 1910 in Kewaskum, the daughter of the late Donald and Rose (Remmel) Harbeck. Helen lived her entire life in Kewaskum and saw many changes over the last 95 years.

On July 15, 1939, she was united in marriage to Frank J. Felix at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum. Helen and Frank were business owners for many years of the Gamble Store on Main Street in Kewaskum. Frank preceded Helen in death on April 1, 1994.

Helen was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Kewaskum, Holy Trinity Christian Women and had been an active member of the Kewaskum Historical Society.

Survivors include her daughter, Jeanne (Gerald) Neath of Oregon; a granddaughter, Jennifer Davenport of Sun Prairie; four sisters-in-law, Marcella Harbeck of Kewaskum, Anna Reindl of West Bend, Catherine (Edward) Hawig of the town of Wayne and Verna Herriges of West Bend, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Rose Felix on January 11, 2005 and her brother, William Harbeck.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen was held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 331 Main Street, Kewaskum. Father Edwin Kornath officiated and burial followed in the parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends called at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
