Helen C. Herriges, age 68, of West Bend, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 22, 2006 at her home.
She was born on October 24, 1937 in Michigan, the daughter of the late Arthur and Edith (Erickson) Gray, and on August 22, 1959, she was united in marriage to Earl Herriges at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend. Her husband preceded her in death on April 3, 2005.
Helen was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michaels.
Survivors include two brothers, Arthur (Dorothy) Gray, Jr. of Florida and Harold (Magdeline) Gray of Michigan; a sister, Eleanor (Jesse) Schnurer of Florida; two brothers-in-law, Eugene (Fran) Herriges of Ranchester, Wyoming and Ralph (Kathleen) Herriges of St. Michaels; three sisters-in-law, Carol (Ronald) Gross of West Bend, Lois Dorn of Kewaskum and Esther Gray of Camp Douglas, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Gray; a sister, Lois (Russell) Middaugh and her parents-in-law, Frank and Loraine (nee Theusch) Herriges.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2006 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Michaels. Father Edwin Kornath officiated and burial was on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the parish cemetery.
Relatives and friends called at the church on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of services.
