Helen N. Schneider, nee Marquardt, age 71, of the town of Farmington, passed away Saturday October 9, 2004 at the Aurora Medical Center in Hartford.
She was born on July 17, 1933 in the town of Barton to the late Philip and Viola (Nee Jobs) Marquardt. Helen was united in marriage to Cecil Schneider on May 10, 1952 at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Together they made their home in the Town of Farmington.
She worked at the West Bend Aluminum Co. for a short time and then for many years as a truck driver for the Amity Company. Helen retired from there in 1991 and for the next four years she drove bus in Kewaskum for Johnson School Bus Service.
Helen enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. In her later years she became an avid casino gambler.
She is survived by a daughter, Linda Espitia of West Bend; three grandchildren, Chearie (William Jr.) Riebe of Hartford, Dustin (Danielle) Hahn of West Bend, and Steve (Kristian) Espitia of Warrensburg, MO; five great-grandchildren, Jessica & Jamie Riebe, Jackson & Lily Hahn, and Steven Espitia Jr.; two sisters, Bernice (Jerome) Peters of Kewaskum, and Olive (James R.) Esselmann of Newburg; two brothers, Arthur (Marvel) Marquardt of West Bend, and Robert (Lorna) Marquardt of Random Lake; a sister-in-law, Shirley Stoffel of West Bend; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil, on Sept. 2, 1996.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 12 at 7:00 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, West Bend, with Rev. William Dushek officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Cremation will follow at Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral & Cremation Service, and burial of her cremated remains will be on Wednesday at 11:00 am in Washington County Memorial Park.
