Helen G. Wronn, (nee Guenther), age 103, of West Bend, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away Saturday June 23, 2007 at Cedar Community.

She was born on June 14, 1904 in Milwaukee to the late Charles and Helen (nee Cords) Guenther and was united in marriage to Fred Wronn on May 23, 1942 in Milwaukee.

Helen was very fortunate to be employed by the Milwaukee Gas Company during the depression and was the breadwinner for her family. She retired as data entry supervisor in the billing department after 46 years of service, and was a charter member of the Quarter Century Club.

She was a life long member of Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ in Milwaukee, and a faithful member of the church choir into her nineties. Helen also sang with the Milwaukee YWCA Choral Group, Milwaukee Acapella Chorus, and the Milwaukee Holiday Singers.

She was "Aunt Helen" to four nieces, Mildred (Wally) Fruhman, Lois (Bill) Konig, Barbara (Fred) Seefeldt, and Sharon (Jerry) Donnell; two nephews, Robert Guenther and Milton Reese; along with great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She shared with them her faith in Christ, her love for music, and her proficiency as a swimmer. She enjoyed traveling and new adventures, even taking a jet ski ride at the age of 95 with a great nephew.

Helen's zest for life, along with her love and compassion will be missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Fred in 1981; sisters, Elsie Reese and Irma Guenther; brothers, Arthur, Carl, Otto, Edwin, Hilbert, Raymond, and Clarence; a niece, Carol Gerds; nephews, John Guenther, Otto Guenther, Vernon Reese, Alfred Reese, Harold Guenther, and Raymond Guenther.

Funeral services to remember Helen will be held on Thursday June 28th at 7:00 pm at the Myrhum ~ Patten Funeral Home, West Bend. Chaplain David Stone of Cedar Community will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will be Friday at 10:00 am in Graceland Cemetery, Milwaukee. Memorials in Helen's memory may be given to the Lakeland College Scholarship Fund (Lakeland College, P.O. Box 359, Sheboygan, WI 53082-0359).

A "very special thank you" is extended to the administrator and staff of Friendship House at Cedar Community, West Bend, for their dedication to the loving care of Helen for the last five years, and to the Cedar Community Hospice for the closing days of her life.
